Founded in 2009 by three former Labour MPs the party won two out of the four seats they ran for in the 2010 UK General Election. In 2015 thanks to many voters choosing to vote against the major parties Liberty won over 500 seats the largest majority in UK Parliamentary history, before adding a further 13 in the 2017 snap general election. They are the most popular party in the UK and only to have over 1 million members.
